Equatorial Guinea failed to win any medals in this edition of the Games. This was the first time that the African nation participated in the Games, after they were invited in the 2006 edition, but didn't field athlets on time to enter the games. Along with East Timor and Guinea-Bissau, their main goal was to win experience for future Games.
